I write a nature column for the newspaper in Virginia Beach and have come
across a nest shared by a pair of cardinals and a pair of robins. There are
two baby robins and one baby cardinal, all being fed by all parents. I
could only find one reference to nest sharing between songbird species in my
Audubon Encyclopedia of North American Birds. Does anyone know more about
this or know where I might find more information? Thanks, MRB
