Va Birders,
The NECO finally flew into Virginia around 3:40 yesterday afternoon. It left
"the log" and headed upstream but landed on the water and dove. It came up
about half a glass away, still moving upriver. Two more dives and then it took
off and headed straight for the Va shoreline, flying right above the water. We
were shouting encouragement as it approached the shore, rose to about 15 feet
and flew between two trees and out of sight. Yes!
Good luck to anyone who tries for it.
Good birding,
John Fox
Arlington
