Hello,
This evening around 5 P.M. I was delighted to find a Nelson's
Sharp-tailed Sparrow along the road about a half-mile from our farm.  The
best part of it was that I was able to study it from all sides. It was
quite intent on eating foxtail and other seeds, and seemed oblivious to
my presence barely 20 feet away!  I also saw my first-for-this-fall
white-crowned in the same briar patch.

Best to all,
Karen Heatwole,
Rapidan, Va.
