All,
I spent about an hour at NY Monuments this morning. It was quite a
different show from the last time I was there a week or so ago.
White-throated Sparrows, Ruby-crowned and Golden-crowned Kinglets, a
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, and a single Brown Creeper reminded me that
the seasons are changing. I did manage to find a few warblers -
Northern Parula (1), Black-throated Green (1), Magnolia (2), Pine
(several still singing!), and Common Yellowthroat (1). Still many
catbirds and towhees around and the blue jays flying over were never
ending. A Cooper's Hawk kept things quiet for a while.
