About a dozen of us visited Huntley Meadows this morning, co-led by Shannon
Dart and myself. We had 63 species, none exceptional. The most exiting aspect
of the walk (and certainly the noisiest) was the discussion about whether we
had seen a Mississippi Kite! While that species is not on the list below, it
is possible that the group was looking at two different birds at the time.
American Bittern - one seen flying over the marsh by a couple of people who
were
not participating effectively in the kite
discussion.
