Foiled again. Here is Lehman's note regarding the Cave Swallows in New
Jersey over the past few days:
NJBIRDS:
There may be a mini-invasion of Cave Swallows in the works. First,
there's at least one bird in Cape May for over a week, then the two
yesterday at Sandy Hook, another this morning (Saturday) at Wildwood
Crest, and then an hour ago I had a pure flock of EIGHT birds fly by the
lighthouse at Cape May Point. We'll see how many are around once the
rain stops late tomorrow. Colder temps, overcast, or NW/N winds are
probably best. Find your favorite coastal pond or lake, and have a look!
