I spent an hour and a half at the wetland on Riverside Pkwy this morning. There
was a Mourning Warbler in the middle of the treeline that borders the Potomac
at the 'back' of the wetland. Other nice birds were:
Eastern Meadowlark
Bobolink - 1 in winter plumage
Magnolia Warblers - 3
Common Yellowthroats - several
American Kestrel - 1 male flyover
Sharp-shinned/Cooper's Hawk
Rose-breasted Grosbeak - imm. male
Several Eastern Bluebirds and a couple hundred migrating Blue Jays
The wetland is at the end of Riverside Pkwy, which is north of Route 7, just
west of Route 28.
