I went out this morning, 6-8:45 AM, to walk our dog on a 5.8 mile road
loop west of the hamlet of St. Louis in southwestern Loudoun County.
Habitat varies; residences, pasture, hay field, stream bottom and
patches of woodland. Spent just under three hours walking, listening and
watching. Chickadees were not seen or heard. No kildeer or barred owl.
White-eyed vireo, Cape May warbler and summer tanager were likely heard
very briefly- didn't go off road to chase them down to verify.
