VA-Birders,
Fort Smith Park this AM produced 5 warbler species, including PARULA,
YELLOW-RUMPED, PALM, BLACK-AND-WHITE, and my FOS OVENBIRD. There was also a
"singing" WHITE-EYED VIREO there today, my first at that park.
No sign of Purple Martins today. Only a Starling on top of and a few House
Sparrows carrying nesting material inside the martin house. Nearby, a SONG
SPARROW was carrying some nesting material to a patch of shrubs as well.
For some reason CF Smith always seems to host a few JUNCOS late in the
season, so we'll see when these 4 decide to depart. List below:
