Monticello Park in Alexandria still held excellent birds this afternoon,
despite the overcast and cold. First migrant seen was a mourning warbler.
Other migrants included:
yellow-bellied flycatcher
eastern phoebe
eastern pewee
least flycatcher
5 to 8 red-eyed vireos, staying near each other
2 black-throated blue warbler females
at least 4 to as many as 6 Canadas of both sexes
2 chestnut-sided warblers
common yellowthroat female
2 magnolia warblers
2 male redstarts
1 Tennessee warblers
Plus a Carolina wren was feeding a well-feathered fledgling.
