Thank you, Gentle Readers of this Weekly Report from Huntley Meadows Park, for
telling me that I do not know a Rat from a Vole on the ground.
Monday morning, April 26, 2004, Harry Glasgow, Gene Keefe and Mary Floyd led a
group of thirteen birders on the regularly scheduled birdwalk on a cloudy,
slightly windy and cool day. The warblers have arrived in the Park in large
numbers. The Sora is still strutting his stuff right out in the open for all
to see. The Virginia Rail and the very mythical Black Rail are not to be seen.
No Meadow Voles were seen.
