Va-Birders,

At about 4:45 PM, Sharon Lynn and I briefly watched a Mississippi Kite in flight near the intersection of Potomac and Priscilla Lanes in the Waynewood subdivision of Fairfax County. This is about a block from the Waynewood Elementary School and about 4-5 blocks from the Carl Sandburg Middle School. This is the third year in a row that kites have been reported in this neighborhood. I understand that they successfully nested there last year.
