While dropping a friend of mine off after work, I spotted a Mississsippi Kite
soaring along the Potomac shoreline while going southbound on the George
Washington Parkway. While returning northbound, I saw the bird again (an
adult) perched near the area normally referred to as Pipleline bay (between
Tulane Drive and Morningside Lane. The Ospreys in a nearby nest provided a
nice contrast.
