Hello all,
I visited Mill Creek Lake today 12-10-04 at
4:00PM. The only waterfowl on the lake was a
lone Canada Goose, 20 Ruddy Ducks, 2 fe-
male Bufflehead, 10 Pied Billed Grebes and 2
Double Creasted Cormorants. I also visited
Thrashers Lake and there was 10 Ruddy Ducks.
Here are the directions to Mill Creek Lake
and Thrashers Lake:
Take the 2nd Amherst exit and get on 60W
to the traffic circle in Amherst. Continue on 60W for 6 miles. Turn right on Rt
778 for 2
miles. Then turn right on Rt 610 for 1 mile.You
turn left and you are at the lake.
To get to Thrashers Lake take a right when
you get back to Rt 610. Go about .2 miles.
Turn left on Rt 610. Go about 1.5 miles and
takes the right turn for another .5 mile and take
a left go to the end of the road and you are at the lake.
The best view at Thrashers is to walk out on the dam and scope the lake.
