Just to add my two cents re: spring arrivals - after returning home from a
business trip last week I noticed on Saturday morning that my neighbors had
at least 6 Purple Martins resting on their martin houses. Sunday morning I
found that I had at least 3 martins back on the house in my yard.
This AM I had 3 Barn Swallows flying over the field next to my house.
Finally, I also heard Ruby-crowned Kinglets in full song this morning.
Not much, but it has been such a LONG winter and any spring migrant brings
hope to my heart!
