We have a large Red Maple on the South West side of our house. This tree is
only 50 feet from the house and is an old tree with many broken and dieing
branches. This time of year with cold nights and warm days, we always see a
number of birds gleaning the flowing sap. This year so far, we have seen
YELLOW BELLIED SAPSUCKER, DARK EYED JUNCO, CAROLINA CHICKADEE, RUBY CROWNED
KINGLET, CEDAR WAXWING, and DOWNY WOODPECKERS getting their share.
