Hello Everyone,
Rich Rieger, Paula Sullivan, Larry Meade and I were at Manassas Battlefield
today. We spent the
morning at NY Monuments and were delighted with a lot of activity. We then
visited Chinn Ridge,
followed by Stuart Hill. In all, we observed 55 species of birds, including 12
species of warbler. The
Highlights of the day were 2 OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHERS and a NASHVILLE WARBLER at
Chinn
Ridge and 2 spectacular CAPE MAY WARBLERS at NY Monuments. In addition to the
complete
list below (I hope I included everything), one Empid flycatcher was observed at
NY Monuments that
likely was a LEAST FLYCATCHER. In all, it was a very good day with a lot of
activity.
Happy Birding!
Jay Keller
