I know that we are all excited about the rediscovery of this magnificent bird and that many of us have waited a lifetime for the opportunity to see one. What a tragedy it would be if a mob of bird enthusiasts swarming through its habitat drove it away, disrupted nesting, or in any way contributed to the re-disappearence of the Ivory-billed Woodpecker. For the time being I think it would be best if we all rejoiced in the near-miraculous survival of this bird and left it alone.
