[va-bird] Loggerhead Shrike, Fauquier County

All,

I found a Loggerhead Shrike today while doing my waterfowl survey. It
was near a small wetland area off Mt. Eccentric Road. To reach this
spot, take The Plains exit off I-66 and head south on Rt. 245. You will
pass Harrison Road on your right but don't turn. The first paved road
to the left off of Rt. 245 is Mt. Eccentric Road. The wetland area is
on the south side of the road about 1/4 mile down. The shrike was
hanging out in the bushes and trees along the east side of the wetland.

Lakes in the area:

Harrison Road - 24 Canada Geese, 13 Gadwall, 2 Ring-necked Ducks, 9
Bufflehead, a pair of Common Mergansers, 6 Common Snipe, several
Killdeer, a long Tree Swallow soaring around overhead and a pair of
kestrels on the wires.

Belvoir Road - 1 Green-winged Teal, 4 Canvasbacks, 6 Ring-necked Ducks,
2 Ruddy Ducks.
