VA Birders,
This afternoon along the Hke-Bike trail at Huntley Meadows, I watched a
Lincoln's Sparrow hop around the wood pile in the Woodcock Meadow. The bird
was
buffy and streaked in front and had a dark rufous crown that was quite
peaked. When I compared the chup! calls I was hearing to the ones on my
Stokes CD,
I clinched the ID. Other birds of note included a Swainson's Thrush and two
YB Cuckoos.
