Leupold Optics/VSO Roving Ravens Need Your Help!
The Leupold Optics/Virginia Society of Ornithology Roving Ravens will be 
participating in New Jersey Audubon Society's World Series of Birding this year 
and need your help!  This year, your state's team is raising money through 
pledges on its performance in the World Series of Birding to support Virginia's 
Important Bird Areas program.  This year's team members are Alan Schreck 
(Captain), Bob Ake, Linda Fields, and Kurt Gaskill.  Our Corporate Sponsor, 
Leupold 
Optics, will be paying the entry fee and team expenses.  What this means is 
that 
all fund contributed by you will support Virginia's IBA program.  To help, 
you can pledge either a per species amount (the Roving Ravens hope to tally 
over 
190 species this year) or a fixed amount. Your contributions are fully tax 
deductible!  You can pledge by stopping by the Roving Ravens table at the VSO 
annual meeting in Lynchburg this coming weekend so that Linda Fields or Alan 
Schreck can record your pledge or writing to Kurt Gaskill at kurtcapt87 at 
aol.com  Similar to last year, the top two contributors will be treated to a 
day 
birding by yours truly which will also include an authentic Scottish fast-food 
lunch! (or equivalent, depending upon location).

In all seriousness folks, please contribute to this important cause to help 
preserve habitat in Virginia so that future generations can experience the 
amazing sights that nature has brought to us. Thank you.
