Leesylvania State Park was still experiencing a wave of migrants on Monday
morning. The Bush Point Trail along the river was especially good mid-morning
as a wave of warblers lingered there. Seventeen species were tallied including
Tennessee, Blackburnian and N. Waterthrush plus a Wilson's on the ruins'
hillside, where the previously reported pair of Blue Grosbeaks also were
cooperative. Among the 70 bird species tallied were 3 Bonaparte Gulls at the
water's
edge near the pier.
Thanks to Marc Moribaudo for his posts on the migrant activity here over this
past weekend.
