Hello all
Today I had the day off so I went out to find some Lapland Longspur's for my
year list . Boy did I find them . I had a total of 41+ Lapland's mixed in with
several flocks of Horned Lark's totaling to about 400 + birds . Here is the
break down of where the Laplands were today . In the feeder lot by the Target
plant I counted 24+ Laplands plus I had a Blackbird species that could easily
had been 8 Brewer's Blackbird & on Gunthrie Road ( Rt. 652 ) I had a total of
17+ birds . Also on Rt. 652 I had a total of 53 Meadowlark's .In the same area
on Rt. 651 I had a small flock of Savannah Sparrow's of about 20 birds & I
think one was of the Ipswich race . This bird was very pale where all of the
others were of a warmer brown color. Here is a list of all the highlight birds
today.
