We found a single LAPLAND LONGSPUR today NE of Winchester. It was mixed in a
small flock (40 or so) of Horned Larks. There may have been more, but a tractor
came along and spooked them right as we were scoping them. They were not
refound.
Lots of KESTRELS moving in today. We didn't keep an accurate count - more than
20 at least, in only a small part of the county.
At Wilkins Lake in Winchester, there were:
A. COOT - 5
LESSER SCAUP - 1 female
RING-NECKED DUCK - 1 male
