Lots of birds out on the river this AM.  Most of the birds are slowly
working their way out of the river against the strong NE winds.  Started
scoping the 300+ terns working the river.  The list so far:

300+ terns, mostly Royal with 15 or so Caspian.
3 Am. Oystercatchers - a good bird here
1 Lesser Black-backed Gull - not many gulls on the river today, a little
early for this location
1 imm. LONG-TAILED JAEGER! - watched this one for about 10 minutes slowly
working its way toward the James River.  At the closest point it harassed
terns and actually set down on the water for a minute or so.  The white
outer primary feathers stood out beautifully.

I've got to feed the kids and then go to church but I'll keep scanning.
