Maybe I'm misinterpreting your message, but my first thought was to protect
the reputation of North American cuckoos so that people wouldn't think they
are as bad as Old World cuckoos and our own nasty cowbirds that regularly
parasitize other birds' nests.
That is why I stated
 >>>>With this huge invasion of Yellow-billed Cuckoos it would be worth it to
watch for other bird species that might be feeding young cuckoos. Cuckoos are
well known nest parasites and the sheer numbers of birds present may, at
least statistically, create an environment for this to happen.<<<<

Might be feeding young cuckoos. Not will be feeding young cuckoos. And they
are well known for it. This does not mean that they do it all the time. It
means that it is well documented. I stated carefully that because of the huge
number of cuckoos being reported this Might occur. Keep your eyes open for it.
Don't count on it.
