Howdy all,
The wind was once again a problem at the station the past two days. But we
managed to capture a few birds both days. There was quite a few birds around
the last two days, which is nice to see. We captured 41 birds Friday and then
33 today. There has been a nice push of warblers and Red-eyed Vireos the past
few days as well.
The next weather system will bring in a lot of birds to the area, whenever that
might be. Also, if the hurricane down south pushes inland, it could force a lot
of birds to take a more easterly route, which could boost numbers here on the
shore and VA in general.
