Howdy all,
A quick note to say, WE NEED A COLD FRONT!
The last two days have been completely dead. Yesterday, while I was out in
the middle of nowhere (Ocean), they only banded 5 birds at the station. And
that
would have been a huge day today! We only banded one bird this morning.
Yikes! We need that cold front!
Anyway, here are the short lists!
9/23:
Traill's Flycatcher 1
House Wren 1
Swainson's Thrush 1
Gray Catbird 2
TOTAL ------------------ 5
9/24:
Yellow-billed Cuckoo 1
TOTAL --------------------- 1 wow I know. At least it was a cool bird
right?
Sure hope this front passes all the way through tonight. If it does, we might
have a few more birds tomorrow. If it doesn't, tomorrow might look like the
last few days!
Cheers,
Jethro Runco
