Howdy all,
We were able to band five hours on the 14th before the state park kicked us
out because of the approaching hurricane. The park was still closed today
(15th) but looks like they will reopen this afternoon. The hurricane has done
nothing here on the shore. Still just windy and humid. We sure could use some
of
the rain that was falling in NC! It is bone dry here.
The forecast of wind tomorrow as well, sure does not look promising for a
good day at the banding station AGAIN! It had been over ten days since we have
had more than 26 birds in a day. I am quickly losing my mind. Well, ok so its
already gone, I'm just trying not to use the word "bored". Anyway, maybe it
will
all change soon.
On another note, I was going through the data and found that I missed posting
two AMERICAN REDSTARTS on 9/9. So correct your notes if you are keeping them.
