Howdy all,

Well, guess it was bound to happen. Most of the birds that have been here the
last few days headed south last night. We had a very slow day today after
banding 439 yesterday. Today we couldn't even break the century mark. We ended
with 94. There have been lots of birds around the last week plus, but they all
moved on. So hopefully there are more coming. And soon! This weekend might be
ok I guess.
No real highlights today, just the usual.

Here are the totals for the day 10/31:

Ruby-crowned Kinglet              2
Golden-crowned Kinglet           2
Brown Creeper                        1
Palm Warbler  (western)          2
Common Yellowthroat              1          first one is some time actually
Yellow-rumped Warbler            49         ???
Field Sparrow                           7
Chipping Sparrow                      1
Swamp Sparrow                        9
White-throated Sparrow             10
Slate-colored Junco                   3
Tufted Titmouse                        2
Hermit Thrush                           2
American Robin                        1        only 75,000 passed by today!
Blue Jay                                   2
TOTAL ----------------------------------  94

Cheers,
Jethro Runco
