Howdy All,
This is just a quick update from the banding station. Today was another nice
day to be at the station! After a brief spell of rain early this morning, we
finally got some banding in. And let me tell ya, the yellow-rumps are in! It
was a nice day for other species as well!
A few of the species include:
Brown Creeper 8
Eastern Phoebe 8
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 18
Golden-crowned Kinglet 27
Winter Wren 4
Blackpoll Warbler 3
Blue-headed Vireo 1
Hermit Thrush 14
White-throated Sparrow 17
Yellow-breasted Chat 2
Yellow-rumped Warblers A lot!
But the biggest surprise of the day was the capture of a Lincoln's
Sparrow!!!!! Wow!!
We ended up banding 323 individuals today. And let me tell ya, I'm tired!
Cheers,
Jethro Runco
Head Bander
P.S. Hey Todd, Sorry about the WEKI !! :-) As soon as I spotted it, you
were the first person I thought of ! And I just smiled!
It was not to be found today, but I'll keep ya posted! JR
