Wudup all,
Today we saw hawks and it was such a sweet change! Light south to southwest
winds dominated today and these certainly facilitated a sound movement of
Peregrine Falcons and Ospreys. Blue Jays were noticed and counted today with a
total of 4,648 tallied. Also of note were good numbers of Rose-breasted
Grosbeak, Baltimore Orioles, Common Nighthawk and Icterids. Several Eastern
Kinbirds were seen too. Here's today's breakdown:
BLVU: 65
TUVU: 9
OSPR: 210
BAEA: 8
NOHA: 16
SSHA: 85
COHA: 24
BWHA: 2
RTHA: 1
AMKE: 94
MERL: 50
PEFA: 161
Total: 725
I think you should pack a lunch and head out to our platform tomorrow.
Good day and good birding,
-Sam
