Hola birders,
The hawkwatch has had a recent flurry of interesting birds. In the past two
days the Kiptopeke Hawkwatch Platform has swollen to 156 birds. New migrants
are showing up each day, most notably Carpodacus Finches, Robins and
Bluebirds, Bluejays and great Sparrows. Each day produces some interesting
birds. Following are some of the more recent sightings in no particular
order:
Western Kingbird 10/16
Brewer's Blackbird 10/17
Vesper Sparrow 10/18
Dickcissel 10/19
Purple Finch 10/18-19
Red-shouldered Hawk 10/19
Swainson's Hawk 10/19
Baltimore Oriole 10/19
Also Common Loon, and Scaup have been entering the Bay along with a few
Scoters.
