Howdy all,
What a day at the banding station today. But for a change it was not the bird
numbers that were impressive, it was the number of visitors and school groups!
We had roughly 240 people at the banding station today! Luckily we had birds to
show them and luckily it was not a big hit day too! We banded 64 birds today
with a few birds brightening the day by their presents. All in all, it was a
fun, but very busy day.

There was a lot of birds around today but the wind was a little gusty for us to
take full advantage of the numbers. But with that many people around, I am glad
it stayed a little low. However, I am hoping that tomorrow is a different
story! It would be great if the winds calm down in the morning and we can catch
200+ tomorrow. But who knows! Guess we'll soon find out!
Hope to see you all at the birding festival this weekend!!
Cheers,
Jethro
