Today I spent some time in the Kerr Reservoir area. There was a nice
variety of birds although nothing terribly unusual. Some of the birds I
saw or heard included Common Loon, Pied-billed Grebe, Double-crested
Cormorant, Great Blue Heron, American Black Duck, Ring-necked Duck, Bald
Eagle, Red-shouldered Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk, American Kestrel, Killdeer,
Belted Kingfisher, Red-headed Woodpecker, Red-bellied Woodpecker,
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Downy Woodpecker, Hairy Woodpecker, Pileated
Woodpecker (heard), Northern Flicker (heard), Eastern Phoebe,
White-breasted Nuthatch, Brown-headed Nuthatch, Brown Creeper,
Golden-crowned Kinglet, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Cedar Waxwing,
Yellow-rumped Warbler, White-throated Sparrow, Song Sparrow and American
Goldfinch. Good Birding.
