Highlights of my early morning walk through areas of Lincoln, western
Loudoun County, included a surprising Kentucky Warbler, first heard singing
then seen well, not 2/10 mile from the end of my driveway!  (Ah, the
capriciousness of birds-last weekend we heard 12 Kentuckys at the Blue Ridge
Center for Env. Stewardship, Neersville VA near Harpers Ferry, but couldn't
get a look at any of them!  That's why we love 'em.)  Another treat was a
Willow Flycatcher, which brought the flycatcher sp. to 6-Pewee, Acadian,
Phoebe, Great Crested, and Kingbird).  Also Hairy Woodpecker, a Pileated
pair, Cedar Waxwings, and 8 different Blackpoll Warblers.
