[va-bird] Re: Julie Metz, Friday

Va Birders-
I am also interested in stopping by Julie Metz to look for the Harris's
Sparrow. (and the Clay-colored too, I suppose.. any word on that one?) I
will be coming through Virginia late next week, and I'm hoping the sparrows
will still be around. I've never been to Julie Metz before either, so I'm also
interested in a description of where to search for the sparrows. If anyone
replies to Cliff's request, please include me as well, or reply on the
list-serve.
Thanks, good birding!

Dan Kluza wrote that on Friday morning (Feb 20): the Harris's Sparrow was
still present at Julie Metz Wetlands (near the monument).

I made my first trip to Julie Metz that same morning, and not only do I
not have any idea where the monument is, I drove right on past Julie Metz
as I was trying to find it.

Could someone please give a description of how to find the location where
the Harris's Sparrow has been seen for people who are unfamiliar with the
site?

Thank you,
Cliff Otto
