Hello All,
Just as a follow up myself and Allen Bryan looked briefly for the Wood Stork
midday yesterday, 1/27, without luck.
At Back Bay on the ocean side we did see 2 RED-NECKED GREBES (adults),
numerous LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL (12 + or -), large numbers of RED-BREASTED
MERGANSER (in the region of at least 2,500), 30 or so FORSTERS TERN and a
single RED KNOT.
In the morning we had birded Knotts Island area in North Carolina and found
a WESTERN TANAGER observed adjacent to Knotts Island Elementary School and
Martin Farm Road. The bird was photographed and observed for approximately
4-5 minutes. Also observed were approximately 8 Orange-crowned Warblers.
