[va-bird] Ivory Billed

I grew up where the bird was found, my family is still there.
My sister and her husband own several hundred acres of land along the
Cache River.

Several friends are avid birders there (one, with her husband,
underwrote the sound equipment for the expdetition to Louisiana and the
expedition in Arkansas).

I'm in constant contact with one of my birding friends.  When I
mentioned that driving directions had already been printed on our
listserve, this was her response:

"Better tell your listserve that they have already blocked off the
area.  Tommy has a good friend who is with the US Fish and Wildlife.
When I told Tommy about it, he immediately called his friend who said
they were formulating a plan to protect the area long term. "

So anyone planning to head in that direction should think twice about
such a long trip right now.
