Chris French, Mary Floyd, and Gene Keefe led a group of thirteen birders at 
Huntley Meadows Park this morning, 5/5/2003, from 0700 to 0930.  Highlights 
of these mornings exercises were the Glossy Ibis, Scarlet Tanager, American 
Redstart, Indigo Bunting and the Ovenbird.  The Great Egret were showing 
their "Come Get Me" iridescent green patches on their lores.

To get to Huntley Meadows Park, take the Richmond Highway, Route 1, 3.5 miles 
south of Exit 177A of the Beltway towards Fort Belvoir.  Turn right on 
Lockheed Boulevard and continue to the Park Entrance, about 3 blocks on the 
left, at the intersection of Lockheed Boulevard with Harrison Lane.  We meet 
in the Visitor's Center Parking Lot.
