Yesterday evening (9/8), while grilling on the back deck, I decided to scan
the power transmission towers which cross the Nansemond River here in
northern Suffolk. Much to my surprise, roosting with the many
Double-crested Cormorants on the towers, were two (2) imm. White Ibis.
Unfortunately heavy fog prevented me from checking the towers this AM, but I
would be interested to find if they continue to use the towers as a roost.
New yard bird to say the least! #189!
