Greetings,
This morning, at the Prince William Co. Landfill, I found a 1st winter
Iceland Gull almost as soon as I stepped out of the car...I couldn't believe
my luck! One of the trash truck drivers came over to chat about the birds and
asked to look through my scope. I had it focused on the Iceland Gull and told
the man he was looking at a rare gull. Wonder what he thought about that? I
didn't see the California Gull or the Glaucous Gull that Todd Day reported
yesterday, unfortunately. I, too, only found one Lesser Black-backed Gull..an
adult. A third year Bald Eagle cruised the area, scattering the thousands of
gulls.
