I got a late start today and hit Huntley Meadows at about 10AM for a
couple hours.
It was pretty quiet save for the frogs. I didn't make an effort to
count individuals but Highlights for me were:
Killdeer
Blue-winged Teal
Green-winged Teal
Belted-Kingfisher
Northern Shoveler
Yellow-rumped warbler
Lot's of grumpy geese in territorial disputes
Red-winged Blackbird
Then on to Dyke Marsh for another couple hours where there were:
2x Osprey with one on the nest (at the marina) and one carrying a stick
to the same nest.
Belted Kingfisher (heard only)
4x DC Cormorant
Northern Cardinal
Best,
Jim Poor
