Birders,
This morning I went to Huntley Meadows and was scared
away by the hundreds of school children, so I went
back after lunch. My daughter and I walked from noon
until 2 pm from the Visitor's Center to the Heron
trail and back. We encountered several birders along
the way.
Here are some of the highlights: Prairie Warbler,
Yellow-throated Vireo, Solitary Sandpiper, Spotted
Sandpiper, both Yellowlegs (finally standing next to
one another), Wilson's Snipe, Rusty Blackbird,
Blue-winged Teal & Green Heron. My daughter also
found a snapping turtle. Here is a complete list...
