Huntley Meadows Park, Thursday, 04/29/2004. Late 6:30 to 7:50pm.
A adult Cooper's Hawk was closely watching the feeders and a Downy at the
Park HQ.
Also two hummingbirds there.
One Snowy, 3 Great Egrets, and a Green Heron
At least a dozen Solitary Sandpipers, several Lesser Yellowlegs, a
Semipalmated Sand. and one Least Sandpiper, and two Snipe
Two Soras feeding with very good views to the left of the boardwalk.
Also a Swamp Sparrow, and one Savannah Sparrow, which might be unusual for
Huntley Meadows feeding on the ground inside the boardwalk loop.
