The Monday Morning Huntley Meadows Birdwalk took place today with only 3
birders tallying 32 species. As has been the case all winter, the big numbers
were waterfowl. Noteworthy was the absences of Carolina Wrens and American
Robins. Checking with Huntley staff, we noted that these species were observed
over the weekend, so the shortfall today may probably be attributed to the
observers, not the birds.

requires no reservation, and is open to all. Note that occasionally icy
conditions on the trail may cause cancellation of the walk at the last moment.
