Went to Huntley this mnorning, only to find it iced over. Great quantieis
of Canada Geese and Gulls on the ice. Three Wilson Snipe were lurking in
the grass and I saw more Killdeer than I knew existed (impossible to
count, but maybe 30). Also, numerous Sparrows, including White-throated;
Cardinals, Bluejays, and Titmice. Heard soemthing pecking on a tree, but
never could locate it. Soemthing also took apart a Grackle or Starling at
the beginning of the boardwalk while I was at the other end...noticed
bits and pieces on the way out.

Afternooon at Kingstown lake found open water and many, many Canadas and
Gulls. Mallards, Sparrows, Mocking Birds. Also noted were 10-12 Ring-
necked Ducks (m,f) in breeding plumage and one Pie-billed Grebe (non-
breeding plumage).

Any help in IDing the various Sparrows would be appreciated.
