This morning at Hunting Creek from around 9 am to noon, a gathering of
birders noted the following shorebirds:
Killdeer
Greater Yellowlegs
Lesser Yellowlegs
Least Sandpiper
Semipalmated Sandpiper
White-rumped Sandpiper (10 or more)
Pectoral Sandpiper
Stilt Sandpiper (2 adults)
Sanderling (at least 6)
Wilson's Phalarope (1)
Short-billed Dowitcher
Red Knot and Baird's Sandpiper were looked for but not seen (as far as I
know). Great Egret, Caspian and Forster's Tern were also present, as were
gulls and other birds.
