[va-bird] Horseshoe Crab Meeting in Crystal City

Thanks to all who took the time to comment on the proposed options regarding 
the management of Horseshoe Crabs by the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries 
Commission.
For anyone interested in seeing how the process works, the Horseshoe Crab 
Mgt. Board will be meeting in Crystal City  on May 9, 2006 from 1:30 p.m. to 
5:00 
p.m. at
the Doubletree Hotel Crystal City, 300 Army Navy Drive, Arlington,
Virginia; (703) 416-4100. This meeting is open to the public and anyone can 
comment to the board at the start of the meeting.

We would love to have some NoVa birders (SoVa, SWVa, et.al. birders as well) 
attend this meeting. It looks like NJ will impose a two year ban on the crab 
harvest, independent of any action ASMFC may take, and we are optimistic that 
Delaware will vote for a moratorium, major support for our friends. Please come 
out and support the crabs...if you need more info, please let me know.
