Dear VA-Birders,
This is a reminder on how to temporarily suspend VA-Bird posts using
"Vacation", and info on several other useful listserv commands.
Make sure you send VA-Bird listserv commands to the correct email address:
va-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Note it differs from the VA-Bird posting email address. For all commands,
place them in the subject line of the email, without quotes or any other
punctuation. Leave the body of the email blank.
To unsubscribe, send an email from the email account you subscribed to
VA-Bird with unsubscribe in the subject line (no quotes). You will get a
confirmation email that you must reply to in order to really unsubscribe.
The command vacation will suspend all VA-Bird email until you send a
second command unset vacation.
The command set digest will give you one email per day with all VA-Bird
postings for that day. Again, to stop the digest, send the command unset
digest.
Within minutes you should receive a confirming email from freelists.org
stating that your command was accepted.....or not.
